Little of this and a little of that... makes a tremendous Daybed!

My Dear Client who also happens to be one of my Dear Best Buddies, brings me futon pieces and a Pinterest picture of a daybed and asks... Can you build that?  Basically relying on the Bed to Bench premise... We should be able to, right?  So... with a little help from Mr. Star... we pulled pieces from my junkyard  well maintained furniture stash and got to work... I won't bore you with the many options we ran through but here is the end product.

Finished daybed to accomodate twin mattress...
painted with Maison Blanche Wrought Iron and lightly distressed "Pottery Barn" style.
The back is from the futon/sides from twin bed  head and foot board/back cross beam from twin bed railing. Slats for the seating are slats from two different twin beds.

Bottom board in the front (from a separate discarded shelving unit) Lifts to expose storage-
note the handle on the middle bottom.

Lift up the storage door and roll out your portable storage. Storage shelf is a futon piece supported by 6 casters. Perfect storage for bedding!
