Coastal Star Snow Day Meal - Crock Pot Chili Recipe

This recipe is one I received many years ago, when a co-worker of mine used to make it for our officemates every year when it got cold.  It has become my go-to crock pot chili recipe and quickly became a favorite of ours... especially me BECAUSE IT IS SO DANG EASY!  And lots of bang for the buck!

Cowboy Beans
Take 5 cans of beans.  Any variations.  I usually use 2 cans of kidney beans, 1 black, 1 great northern, and 1 navy.  But any 5 works...seriously.  Empty each can including liquid directly into the crock pot.   Brown 1 lb of ground beef (I add an onion) drain and layer on top of the beans.  Add 1 bottle of barbecue sauce.  I use Sweet Baby Ray's- it gives that sweet flavor twist to it that we love.  That's it.  Don't stir it together.  Just layer and wait.

Cook on high for four hours.

And here is what you get.  We like a corn muffin with it.... you can add cheese and sour cream if you like as well.
Hope you enjoy this quick and easy chili recipe!
